Microsoft’s new upcoming flagship smartphone, Lumia 950 XL has been leaked by WPXAP, a Chinese site. The model leaked is a prototype which means its housed in a different casing than the one intended to avoid being leaked. However the leaked model provides and confirms information relating to specifications leaked earlier by Blog Jack and Windows Central.

Microsoft is set to launch 2 new Lumia devices, Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL for the holiday season this year with official announcements to be at the IFA conference in early September. The Lumia 950 (Codename: Talkman) is likely to be launched first with the Lumia 950 XL (Codename: Cityman) coming a couple of weeks later.
Both phones are said to ship with a polycarbonate body in matte black and white, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory with expansion through microSD, a 20MP PureView rear camera with the Lumia 950 XL featuring 3 LED flash, 5MP wide-angle front facing camera, Qi Wireless charging and USB Type-C connector.

The Lumia 950XL is also said to feature Pen support, a feature ported from the Surface lineup. One major feature that is highly speculated is an iris scanner that lets you log into the phone with your face as part of the Windows Hello feature in Windows 10.
The Lumia 950 is said to feature a 5.2 inch WQHD (1440×2560) OLED display and has a Snapdragon 808 which is a 64-bit Hexa core while the Lumia 950 XL features a 5.7 inch WQHD (1440×2560) OLED display and a Snapdragon 810 which is a 64-bit Octa core.
Windows Central also reported that the Lumia 950 XL will feature a smart flip cover with a circular see-through area to view notifications, be able to hold the pen and will be available in few color variants. Both devices will ship with Windows 10. The flip cover along with the pen and a docking station which enables you to tap into the world of Continuum enabling the ability to project to computer monitor with support of keyboard and mouse, is said to be an optional extra not included in the standard package.
Based on current leaked specifications and details, the Lumia 950 and 950 XL seem to be powerful devices packing a lot of exciting specs and new features through Windows 10. But again, these are still in their prototype stages and details can vary on the final production model.
